since this is a food blog, i should mention that i ate at le coq au vin last night with eight lovely friends. the picture i have of our food doesn’t give credit to the joy it gave me. john and i decided to share a few things, so we ordered the foie gras, boudin noir (blood sausage), veal sweetbreads, and, of course, duck breast. i could not stop eating everything. the textures, the flavors, the plating, everything about it was gorgeous. add to that some red wine and some excellent conversation, and you end up with a wonderful time.
