arepas and more.
jamie and i stopped in at this little tiny restaurant on a whim the other day. it’s located in a plaza on bumby about a block or two up from pom pom’s. the prices are right, the portions are pretty sizable, and it is a delicious treat. jamie and i both got the roasted pork with onions, black beans, and rice. i also got cheese arepas, and jamie got tostones. i seriously loved it. the pork was moist and tender. black beans and rice are pretty hard to mess up anyway, but they were delicious. the arepas was pretty darn near perfect, and i was a very happy customer. i got two meals worth of food and a drink for $14. not too shabby.
keep in mind, this is a very little place, and i highly recommend getting your food to go. there are a few tables, but it is very close quarters.
all in all, i’m glad for the whim we had, and i’m sure i’ll be eating there again soon!
