cecil’s bbq.
oh, cecil’s. you won my heart. everything about you is fantastic. i’m so glad i finally ate there. i had the pulled pork, texas toast, jalapeno mashed potatoes, and collard greens. john got beef brisket, sausage, toast, bbq beans, and fried okra. i kid you not, i loved everything. ever since i was a kid i hated baked beans, but these were ridiculously good. i thought nothing could replace daddy d’z in my heart now that i no longer live in atlanta, but cecil’s has done it. the sweet tea was perfect. it’s moderately priced. there is silly texas stuff everywhere. free soft serve ice cream. i was in my own little food heaven.
also in our endeavor, we came across a little fried chicken joint we need to try. and i know i need to eat at blackwater bbq also.
