sweet tomatoes.
alright, i really need to go someplace better. and i have eaten here before, but it was early, i couldn’t think of anywhere else, and it’s been about 5 years. so, off we went. the general idea was to eat breakfast, since it was about 9:45 am. there were a pretty decent amount of offerings, but the ones that were actually good were few and far between. scrambled eggs - awful. apparently they come out of a bag. are scrambled eggs really that difficult or expensive to cook right there? no, they’re not. i do like them serving it in a giant pan, as though they did actually cook them. mediterranean pasta - i actually liked this, though i don’t know about having it for breakfast. there was a small amount of egg in it (the bagged kind), but it’s still not a breakfast item. however, with the onion, tomato, and spinach, it was tasty. buscuits and gravy - not bad. but again, nothing to get excited about. french toast - i didn’t have any, but jamie said it was good, and she is persnickety about her french toast. spinach quiche - eh. i’m 98% positive that wasn’t made in-house either. potatoes au brian - i generally like my potatoes crispier, but these were good soft. still, a pretty basic recipe with peppers and onions, relatively difficult to screw up. bottom line, i think i would be hard pressed to have breakfast there again. also, i need to work less nights so i can actually have a good dinner to write about. i think i’ll talk about ravenous pig next time, even though i have been a few times, it is always so freaking good.
